The latest updates on the impact of COVID-19 in Fulton County place the community level as high according to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). Fulton County has moved into this territory after the spread of Omicron subvariants BA.4 and BA.5 throughout the County.
Among the recommendations from the CDC regarding communities that have high community levels for COVID-19:
• Wear a mask indoors in public
• Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines
• Get tested if you have symptoms
• Additional precautions may be needed for people at high risk for severe illness
Currently, the CDC says there are 232.25 overall cases and 12 new COVID-19 hospital admissions per every 100,000 people in the County. Also, 5.8 percent of regional hospital beds are currently occupied by confirmed COVID-19 patients.
