MISSION - To promote the timely purchase of quality goods and services at the most favorable cost, within a working environment committed to maximizing the potential of its employees while working to meet the highest ethical and professional standards, to encourage economic growth in the minority and female business community and promote diversity in contracting.

VISION - The vision of the Department of Purchasing is to ensure the integrity of the process and the fair and equitable treatment of all persons who deal with the Department of Purchasing. To foster competition, to maximize to the fullest extent practicable the value of County funds, and to provide safeguards for maintaining the transparency, quality, and integrity of the process. To be the benchmark of professional public purchasing.
