Probate Court - North Fulton Service Closed Starting October 23
The Fulton County Probate Court Office at the North Fulton Service Center located at 7741 Roswell Road will be closed for renovation starting Monday, October 23. The last day of services will be Friday, October 20.
The reopening date for the North Service Center location will be announced when additional information is available.
Fulton County Probate Court offices at the Fulton County Government Center, 141 Pryor Street, and the office at the South Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, will remain open. For more information, visit the Fulton County Probate Court website.
Probate Court - Early Office Closure
Fulton County Probate Court will close at 1 p.m. for our annual employee retreat on December 8, 2023. The last wedding ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m.
Probate Court will resume full operations on Monday, December 13, 2023.
Forever Fridays- Free Wedding Ceremonies Every Friday- No Appointment Needed
Beginning August 4, 2023, couples wishing to exchange vows are invited to walk down the aisle every Friday in Probate Court. With no appointment needed, any happy couple will be able to celebrate the joy of their love every Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Those exchanging vows are allowed to invite up to 6 guests to witness their wedding. The ceremony will be free to all couples with a Fulton County marriage license.

E-File for Estate Petitions

E-file is for newly established estates. Currently we are unable to file into already established estates, or file new petitions into older estates.

Estate Filings at Annex Locations
Probate Court has resumed the intake of estate petitions at both the North and South Service Center offices. Clerks will be available to receive, docket, and bill incoming petitions as well as take oaths of fiduciaries. No appointment necessary, times and locations can be found here.
Mailed Estate Petitions
Mailed estate petitions must contain the appropriate fees, or it will be returned. Please review the fee schedule prior to submitting an estate by mail.

Special Attorney Liaison Team for Estates
Probate Court has designated a dedicated ‘Attorney Liaison Clerk’ for attorney and paralegal customer service. Appointments for initial filings only (Petition for Letters of Administration, Petition for Order Declaring No Administration Necessary, Petition for Year’s Support, Petition to Probate Will, and Petition to Open Safe Deposit Box) and status updates can be obtained by contacting Probate.AttorneyLiason@fultoncountyga.gov.

The judge of the Probate Court makes determinations in all controversies involving estates of decedents and guardianships and/or conservatorships of minors and adults by conducting trials & hearings, both with and without a jury.
