Program open to all Fulton County Residents and provides job seekers a range of computer training courses and employment connections
Fulton County Government is committed to supporting our workers impacted by COVID-19 and in partnership with Goodwill and the Metro Atlanta Chamber today announced a new digital literacy program that is free to Fulton County residents who have been impacted by the economic fallout of the COVID-19 public health crisis.

The Career ReBoot Fulton program will significantly expand access to computer training and provide a stepping stone for thousands of Fulton County residents to improve their digital skills as they re-enter the workforce. The program will enable recently laid-off or unemployed workers to earn industry-recognized certifications either online or at one of Goodwill’s career training centers.

The program is coordinated by Select Fulton, Fulton’s economic and workforce development initiative, in collaboration with Worksource Fulton and the Fulton County Board of Commissioners. Based on a successful model established by Goodwill, the program is being directly offered through Goodwill and funded by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners with Cares Act funds.

Fulton residents can access online or in-person courses in digital literacy. Anyone with an internet connection, computer or mobile device can access virtual courses or can visit one of Goodwill’s Career Centers to access courses. Career ReBoot Fulton also offers training tracks and will provide career coaching throughout the program.

Opportunity ATL, the Metro Atlanta Chamber’s job resource initiative, will provide employment connections to program participants, leveraging an existing network of employers in the region.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has created an incredibly difficult situation for so many people, and this innovative and responsive initiative gives hard-working Fulton County residents a head start that they can use to expand their career options,” said Chair of the Board of County Commissioners, Robb Pitts.

“As the coronavirus crisis continues, thousands of workers across Fulton County are unemployed and looking for support and resources they need to get back on their feet,” said Keith <Insert Last Name>, CEO of Goodwill of North Georgia. “The Career Reboot Fulton program will fill the rapidly growing demand for education, training, and employment services that help people gain skills and find jobs. By investing in our local workforce, we can change lives, boost our economy, and get people back to work—and that's exactly what is needed in these difficult times.”

“The Metro Atlanta Chamber is honored to partner with Select Fulton, Goodwill of North Georgia, and with the Fulton County Board of Commissioners to provide employment connections that Fulton County residents can access through the Career ReBoot Fulton program,” Kaite Kirkpatrick, president and CEO, said. “This innovative program will enable our Fulton residents who have been forced to file for unemployment access to jobs at many Fortune 500 companies that are headquartered in Atlanta.”
