You've seen the videos on YouTube and Instagram, so why not discover why people are so crazy about acrylic paint pouring? Acrylic Pouring is a fun and exciting technique that requires no formal artistic training and no previous experience. This workshop will teach you the foundations of pouring: two basic techniques, paints and mediums to use, how and when to use silicone, and more. Work along with the instructor, or simply watch and take notes to try it for yourself later. Cost: FREE

1-2:40 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)

Instructor: Jess Hill, EDAMCC Instructor

Students will learn how to have a creative printmaking experience without a press and sewing machine. Students will draw an image on the matrix and carve out the image. Class supplies: pencil, sharpie, small linoleum or wood block (alternatives: cardboard, styrofoam, paper plate, or inexpensive foam from Walmart) about 10”x10”, black printing ink or acrylic paint. Paint can be purchased from the Dollar Store or Walmart for about $1.00), carving tools (alternatives: x-acto knife, box cutter), brayer (alternatives: an old rolling pin or a empty paper towel roll), scraps of different color fabric; lighter brighter colors work better than dark (alternatives: old t-shirts or pillowcases) about 10”x 10”, fabric glue (alternatives: hot glue gun, glue sticks, or Elmer’s glue might work temporarily), needle, thread, paint brushes (alternatives: Q-tips)
