The Fulton County Public Works Department observes National Public Works Week May 17-23, 2020 by highlighting its staff and the services provided.
The national observance, sponsored by the American Public Works Association, was instituted in 1960. This marks the 60th Annual National Public Works Week sponsored by the American Public Works Association/Canadian Public Works Association. The 2020 theme “The Rhythm of Public Works,” challenges residents to think about their communities as a symphony of essential services, working in concert to create a great place to live. Every community has a rhythm and a heartbeat that reflects its essence and tempo of life. David Clark, Director of the Fulton County Public Works Department says it is the great team of people in the Public Works Department who keep our system in harmony.
“We know that our communities depend on the expertise of the many men and women who work in Public Works,” said Clark. “We have true professionals, who focus on infrastructure, facilities, and services that are of vital importance to sustainable and resilient communities and to the public health, high quality of life and well-being of the people of Fulton County.”
In recognition of National Public Works Week, Fulton County will spotlight several of its dedicated team members. Check out the Fulton County Facebook page to read more about these outstanding employees.
