Fulton County District 4 Commissioner Natalie Hall will lead Atlanta’s 2019 Juneteenth Parade on Saturday, June 15, 2019. The parade will leave from Mozley Park at 10 a.m. and make its way to the Home Depot Back Yard at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The family-friendly event will include marching bands, motorcycle and car clubs, as well as floats from many organizations.
Commissioner Hall invites all Fulton County residents to join her for this important celebration. Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last African American slaves held in Confederate states were freed. Juneteenth has been observed for 154 years, since June 19, 1866. This year Juneteenth will be celebrated the weekend of June 14 – 16. The event is sponsored by the Association for the Study of African American History and Community Aid and Development.
