Faye Pous Rosenbaum was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. After high school, she attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, and graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and psychology. Faye received her Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law, where she was a finalist in the Law Day Moot Court Competition.
Faye began her career in private practice where she handled an extensive civil caseload. After several years, Faye switched to prosecution, almost by accident, and found her niche as a career prosecutor. As a prosecutor, Faye handled hundreds of criminal cases in three busy and diverse jurisdictions: Gwinnett County (Assistant Solicitor); Birmingham (Jefferson County) Alabama (Deputy District Attorney), and Fulton County (Senior Assistant District Attorney). In every division where she was assigned Faye managed an immense caseload serving as the lead prosecutor in over 200 criminal jury trials or as a second chair prosecutor in the past three decades.
Faye has been with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for more than 15 years. During that time, combined with her experience in the previous jurisdictions, Faye has handled virtually every aspect of criminal prosecution, both misdemeanor, and felony, from case intake, through trial and appeal, including Crimes Against Women and Children and Major Case. Her courtroom acumen has been acknowledged by her receipt of awards for Non-Complex Attorney of the Year and Trial Unit Attorney of the Year. In addition to being an active courtroom attorney, she is always available to guide and mentor younger prosecutors in the office.
Outside of work, Faye is a former Girl Scout troop leader, is active in her synagogue and its outreach programs, and volunteers for the USO at Atlanta-Hartsfield Airport. Faye is proud to continue serving the citizens of Fulton County and welcomes the opportunity to continue representing the State of Georgia in the pursuit of justice for all.
