Pat Dutcher is an attorney with more than 16 years of litigation experience and a record of excellence in trial advocacy. Pat graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law and obtained his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in philosophy and political science from Lynchburg College. Pat has significant experience handling complex felony criminal cases and high-profile special matters in Georgia’s busiest and most demanding courtrooms, both as a prosecutor and a criminal defense attorney. Before joining District Attorney Fani Willis’ administration, Pat was a partner at Hollberg & Weaver, LLP, where he successfully litigated civil and criminal cases. As a partner, Pat handled the firm’s matters in both federal and state-level courts, including defending a state agency in a class-action lawsuit, suing a governmental entity for Fourth Amendment violations, and successfully defending those accused of serious felony charges.
Pat also has extensive experience representing the State of Georgia in criminal prosecutions, having served as a prosecutor in both the Coweta and Atlanta Judicial Circuits. While serving the community as a prosecutor, Pat has handled thousands of felony cases from arrest to trial and appeal, including high profile murder prosecutions and death penalty litigation. In addition to his outstanding personal achievements in trial practice, Pat also led a team of ten highly skilled trial attorneys in the Major Case Division who litigated all of the homicide and high profile criminal matters in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit. During Pat’s rise through the District Attorney’s Office, he was consistently recognized for his exceptional trial skills, receiving numerous awards, including Trial Division Lawyer of the Year in 2009, Major Case Lawyer of the Year in 2014, and the Lewis Slaton Highest Achievement Award in 2016. The Fulton Daily Report also selected Pat as one of the Top Ten Lawyers to Watch in 2010. Pat now employs his litigation experience, courtroom prowess, and personal tenacity to serve the citizens of Fulton County and keep our community safe from violent offenders.
