Environmental Health Services (EHS) is responsible for the regulation of establishments where food is served to the public within Fulton County. The term “food establishment” includes restaurants, coffee shops, cafeterias, short-order cafes, luncheonettes, taverns, lunchrooms, places which sell sandwiches or salads, soda fountains, food carts, itinerant restaurants such as food trucks, industrial cafeterias, catering establishments and similar facilities by whatever name they are called.

The office of EHS must review and approve the permits of all new food establishments that open within the county. To operate a food service establishment, all Fulton County food service establishments must have a:

• Valid permit from the Fulton County office of Environmental Health Services
• Current license from the Fulton County office of Environmental Health Services
• Proof of residency
